Even though i'm in my late 30s, I still say that i'm having a 'horrible, terrible, no good, very bad day", when i'm having a bad day. The difficult situations in which Alexander finds himself and his way of dealing with them are what makes this book ripe for philosophical discussion. Steve Carrell and Jennifer Garner star in the live action adaptation of a book I think I remember, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad.
